The larger fuel flexibility of CFB boiler is applicable for the clients need various choices, which can use biomass, various kinds of coal include hard-to-burn fuels, low-grade fuels and waste.

The low-emission performance of CFB combustion is due to SCNR denitration technology and a baghouse to capture fly ash and other particulates. The NOx and SO2 emissions are 85% to 95% lower than those of older plants in the area.

 

THE MAIN BENEFITS OF CFB BOILER

 

1.  Large adaptability of fuel:  this is one main advantage of circulating fluidized bed boiler. If calculated by weight inside the CFB boiler, the fuel is only 1~3% of bed materials, other materials are incombustible solid particles, like desulfurizer, ash, etc.

The CFB boiler can burn peat, lignite, soft coal, meager coal, anthracite, coal gangue, etc., and it also can achieve high combustion efficiency.

 

2. High combustion efficiency: CFB boiler has higher combustion efficiency than bubbling fluidized bed boiler, which can achieve 95~99%, it is because of the following features of CFB boiler: good effect of air-solid mixture, high burning rate and recycled combustion of fly ash.

 

3. High efficiency desulfuration: Due to the circulating combustion process, the limestone without desulfurization reaction inside combustion chamber are returned to bed materials, the part with desulfurization reaction produce large quantity of calcium sulfate, and collide, burst during recycling combustion process, the surface of new calcium oxide particles expose in atmosphere of vulcanization reaction, this will highly improve the performance of desulfuration.

 

4. Low emission of NOx; Due to the combustion features of CFB boiler , it can achieve better emission effect of NOx. The first is low temperature combustion, the nitrogen in air can’t produce NOx. Another is staged combustion, which can control the transformation of nitrogen to NOx, also can transform the generated Nox.

 

5.  Comprehensive recycling of ash:

The combustion process of CFB boiler is low temperature combustion, and the good burn-out condition inside furnace can make the carbon content in ash very low (the carbon content is lower than 1%), it is low temperature burn-out. Which can realize comprehensive utilization of ash, it can use as admixture of cement or building materials. The low temperature burn-out is good for extracting of rare metals in the ash
